GTECH award Oregon lottery contract

WEST GREENWICH, Rhode Island -– (PRESS RELEASE) -- GTECH Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., has been notified by the Oregon Lottery of its intent to award the Company a seven-year contract to provide a new online lottery system, new terminals, and ongoing services as a result of a competitive procurement process. The proposed contract, which is expected to be executed in 2007, will include options to renew for up to three years. The system is expected to be implemented in 2008.

GTECH has been a provider to the Oregon Lottery since it began online sales in 1985. Further details of the award, which is subject to a protest period as outlined in the Request for Proposals, will be released upon the signing of a definitive agreement with the Oregon Lottery.
