GSA showcases new downloadable gaming

8 November 2006

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Gaming Standards Association is inviting the world to "See the Light" at the Global Gaming Expo this November. In its booth, #3683, GSA will have interactive areas that emphasize the organization's efforts. The key highlight of the booth will be a demonstration of downloadable gaming.

"GSA has achieved great success with implementations of S2S in the field," said Marc McDermott, Technical Director for GSA, "Now, we'll be showing how a single computer server from 'back of house,' using the Game to System (G2S) protocol can change configurations on slot machines from two different manufacturers in a Class III environment."

McDermott went on to say that some of the features that will be showcased in the demo are changing denominations and pay tables. Future features of the G2S standard will allow instant changes to game programs and graphics.

In addition to these efforts, GSA will offer several presentations in the booth designed to update attendees on the inner workings of the Association. Sessions will include "GSA Overview: How We Work," "Introducing the G2S Standard," "S2S Today" and "The World of Transport."
