Group urges strong environmental focus in casino licensing13 April 2012MASSACHUSETTS -- The new Massachusetts Gaming Commission is being urged by environmentalists to include strict environmental measures in casino licensing, The Boston Herald reported. The Gaming Commission has said it will hold hearings at which the public can give feedback and input on such issues, the report said. The recently approved law for licensing of new casinos does include some environmental protection, but it is in the realm of optional rather than mandatory, according to the Boston Herald report. |
