Groundbreaking Ceremony for Slot Hall Project in Poipet, Cambodia7 May 2012HONG KONG -- (BUSINESS WIRE)--Entertainment Gaming Asia Inc. (NYSE Amex: EGT) (“Entertainment Gaming Asia” or “the Company”), a leading gaming company focused on emerging gaming markets in Pan-Asia, today announced it will hold the groundbreaking ceremony for its slot hall project in Poipet, Cambodia (the “Poipet Project”) on May 10, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. local time. The Poipet Project, strategically located at Cambodia’s most significant border crossing with Thailand, will be constructed as an extension of an existing popular casino and will be operated by the Company under its Dreamworld brand name. The $7.5 million internally funded Poipet Project is expected to open by the end of this year. It is intended to measure approximately 12,000 square feet (1,100 square meters) and house a comprehensive suite of 300 high-quality electronic gaming machine seats from top-tier manufacturers.
