Greyhound bill dies, injury reporting bill still has a shot25 April 2014FLORIDA – A state bill to end greyhound racing has died on a technicality, Broward Palm Beach New Times reported. The bill, which sufficient votes and would have passed except for a rules challenge, would have ended greyhound racing in the state. Another bill which will make Greyhound injury reporting mandatory is still on the cards, the report said. In the last six months of 2013 alone 74 greyhounds died in racing related accidents, the Broward Palm Beach New Times report noted. |
