Great Canadian Provides Update on Texas Lawsuit

RICHMOND, British Columbia – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (the "Company") is pleased to provide an update regarding the civil action case brought forth by Allegiance Capital Corporation vs. Great Canadian Gaming Corporation et al; in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

On October 7th, 2004, Judge Buchmeyer granted the Company's motion to dismiss for the following reasons:

- The suit against the corporate defendants cannot be brought any place other than the Province of British Columbia. For this reason, he dismissed the corporate defendants.

- As to co-defendants Ross McLeod and Michael Scholz, there were insufficient contacts with the state of Texas so as to allow the lawsuit to be brought. For this reason he dismissed the co-defendants.

The plaintiffs may apply to appeal the decision.
