30 June 2020

Grand Victoria Casino - Elgin and Casino Queen Hotel both have announced that are ready and will reopen their doors to the public tomorrow.

Casino Queen posted the following announcement on its website:
"We are happy to announce today that we will be opening our doors on Wednesday, July 1 at 9AM! We have been working diligently to provide you with the safest and healthiest gaming environment. The health and safety of our Team Members and Guests are always our top priority, now more than ever.

To that end, we have developed and implemented a comprehensive health and safety program known as the Queen Clean Initiative across our property designed to comply with CDC guidelines as well as IDPH and the Illinois Gaming Board. Our procedures focus on the Guest experience and Team Member interaction.

Our Team Members are receiving mandatory comprehensive initial and ongoing training on proper safety, social distancing, hand washing, cleaning, and disinfecting protocol, including proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)."

Grand Victoria Casino will follow new protocols, some of which are listed below:

Social Distancing
We kindly ask that we all work together to practice social distancing throughout the property. Please refrain from congregating in groups.

Hand Washing
Please wash hands frequently for a minimum of 20 seconds. All team members are committed to the same practice. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the property.

Clean & Sanitize
We are frequently sanitizing and cleaning all high-touch surfaces. The frequency of cleaning and disinfecting has been increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces and high touch items.

Face Masks
Team members and Guests are required to wear masks.
