Grand Sierra Resort opens new Infinity High Limit room

16 September 2019

(PRESS RLEASE) -- Grand Sierra Resort and Casino recently opened the all-new Infinity High Limit game room as part of the resort’s more than $200 million in ongoing renovations. The room houses a variety of high-limit table games including blackjack, baccarat, Pai Gow tiles and Pai Gow poker in addition to 44 high-limit slot machines featuring today’s hottest titles including Black Diamond, Lightning Cash, Dancing Drums and Triple Diamond.

Recognized as northern Nevada’s premier casino, the nationally-renowned resort has become a top gaming destination for players. To meet the expectations of the resort’s discerning audience, the Infinity High Limit room’s finishes include luxe wool carpets, hand-tufted accent drapes and striking gold mesh glass walls inset within custom, polished stainless-steel frames. Infinity’s focal point is an exotic marble bar positioned in the room’s center where players may enjoy freshly crafted cocktails and relax among plush European furnishings with opulent imported fabrics. Overhead, guests will find custom hand-blown glass chandeliers beneath hand-made champagne and gold foil ceilings. The silk wall coverings and wood veneer surfaces complement two magnificent, commissioned mosaic art pieces – each standing nearly six feet tall.

Since purchasing GSR in 2011, Alex Meruelo, founder of The Meruelo Group and owner of SLS Las Vegas – soon to be SAHARA Las Vegas, has invested more than $200 million into creating a world-class resort in the heart of beautiful Reno-Tahoe. Resort improvements have created an unparalleled guest experience, making GSR the region’s premier casino-resort. In addition to the newly completed Infinity High Limit room, recent upgrades include The Pool, a year-round outdoor oasis which boasts Reno-Tahoe’s only dayclub; an overhaul of the nearly 2,000 guest rooms and suites; upgrades to the 200,000 square feet of meeting and convention space; and, updates to the resort’s Restaurant Row – home to the region’s only celebrity chef restaurant, Charlie Palmer Steak.
