Government Drops Plan for Surcharge on Gaming Revenues of Integrated Resorts18 October 2005SINGAPORE -- As reported by Channel News Asia: "There will be no 50 per cent cap on casino revenue for the integrated resorts. "The government had initially wanted to impose a surcharge on operators to ensure the resorts had a high non-gaming component to attract more tourists. "Parliament was told that many complex issues would have to be looked at in setting up Singapore's integrated resorts.
