GoodTimes Radio Show celebrates 15th anniversary

24 July 2009

MEMPHIS, Tennessee -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The GoodTimes Radio Show, the longest running live casino gaming format show in the country, just celebrated its 15th anniversary serving the Mississippi gaming industry and its players.

The program was founded in 1994 by Rudi Schiffer, Memphis, as an adjunct to the first Tunica casino newspaper, the GoodTimes News, and was retained when Schiffer sold the publication later to Morris Specialty Publications of Savanna, GA, which publishes Jackpot Magazine and the Mississippi Gaming News.

Through its promotional efforts not only for the Mississippi casino industry and Tunica County, the show was cited as the "Voice of Tunica" when Schiffer was awarded the first Jeff Piselli Media Support award by the Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau and Tunica County Chamber of Commerce in 2004.

The program is also on the Internet via goodtimesradio.com with live streaming audio at audiovegas.com where it is archived. Its content includes expert gaming advice from John Robison, a slot and video game author, as well as casino news, executive interviews, trivia contests and the Jackpot Magazine Entertainment Report.

Casino sponsored, the show is broadcast Saturdays from 8:30 to 10 A.M. on Country Legends WMC790 AM, Memphis. It is owned and hosted by Schiffer and co-hosted by his son, Michael Schiffer of Southaven, MS.
