Golfer Joins Trump's Indiana Casino Bid

INDIANA – As reported by the Louisville, Kentucky Courier-Journal: "…Fuzzy Zoeller Productions announced yesterday that Zoeller, the champion golfer from Floyd County, has teamed with Donald Trump in the Trump Casino bid to win the contract for the gambling complex to be built between French Lick and West Baden Springs.

"…The plan was announced a day after a competing bidder, Orange County Development LLC, said its plan includes a Larry Bird Museum. Basketball legend Bird, a French Lick native, is a partner in the proposal with Las Vegas-based Coast Casinos.

"…Trump Casino has not publicly announced the features of its Orange County bid. Efforts to reach the company by telephone yesterday were unsuccessful.

"…Zoeller operates Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, where he is host of the annual Wolf Challenge tournament. He has designed 16 golf courses around the country, including three that are featured on the Professional Golfers Association Tour. He is third on the money list of The Champions Tour…"
