Golden Casino's War easy and fun

13 November 2008

If you are looking for a game that requires no skill and is so easy to learn that kids in elementary school play it, Golden Casino's War is right up your alley.

The game is simple. You "battle" head-to-head with the dealer and put up an ante of at least $1. A card is then dealt face-up to each player. Whoever has the highest card wins. If there is a tie, or "draw," the player has the option of folding or going to "war." If the player chooses the latter, the ante is doubled and three cards are dealt facedown to each player. The fourth card is dealt face-up. Whoever has the highest card wins. If the value is the same again, the players wins his orginal bet and pushes on the amount bet on the second tie.

In the children's game, if you win a battle you collect the cards you won. And whoever collects all the cards wins the game. In the casino version, however, multiple decks are used and there's a chance you can see the same card multiple times. And here you do not collect any cards, just chips.

What makes Golden Casino's War unique is the display and sounds of the game. Two cannons are set-up facing the player. If a "war" is declared a cannon noise goes off. And you can play this game blindfolded. A female voice announces if a "player wins," the "dealer wins" or if there is a "draw."

So in honor of Veteran's Day, why don't you go to Golden Casino and play War? Some mindless gambling can be the cure for a tough day.
