Goa approves casino expansion

GOA, India – As reported by the Times of India: " Goa is on its way to becoming India's casino capital and guess who is the capital gainer from this? Not the Great Gambler yet, but the Goa government.

"The government on Wednesday gave its nod for three off-shore casinos to cash in on the increasing interest in gambling in the state. But the price of that liberalisation is going to be high for casino operators. Instead of the earlier license fee of Rs 1 crore, they will have to shell out Rs 5 crore for running casinos…"
