Glasgow Aims to be Scotland's Vegas

SCOTLAND – As reported by the Scotsman: "Glasgow could become Scotland's Las Vegas within two years if plans for the country's biggest casino scheduled for the banks of the River Clyde are given the go-ahead.

"The gaming giant London Clubs International (LCI), which runs casinos throughout the world, unveiled outline planning permission yesterday for the £8 million (US$14.05 million) development at Springfield Quay.

"…LCI executives claim the proposal will generate more than 200 jobs for the city and boost tourism…"
