Gettysburg Chamber Remain Quiet on Casino Issue

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Gettysburg Times: "The Gettysburg Adams County Chamber of Commerce continued its arms-length stance following a meeting last week with Gettysburg Gaming Resort and Spa investors.

"'It was an informational … gathering,' chamber president Peg Weaver said Sunday afternoon.

"…She said the business organization is continuing its own 'due diligence investigation' which eventually will determine whether the chamber will take a position on what she termed 'a very emotional issue.'

"Chance Enterprises Inc. investors, led by group president David LeVan, used the chamber meeting, as well as one with the Adams County Commissioners and another with local media, to launch a campaign to garner support for the $150 million dollar development…"
