Gettysburg Casino Investors to Break Silence

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Pennsylvania Evening Sun: "Chance Enterprises has not provided much feedback to opposition forming against its proposal to build a slots casino in Straban Township.

"But it will soon, said spokesman John Brabender.

"…A Web site will be set up in the next couple weeks with useful information about the facility, he said. It will provide contact information so that groups can get in touch with Chance Enterprises.

"Groups involved in historical preservation and tourism in Gettysburg will be welcome to meet with Chance Enterprises to discuss the proposal, he said, as will any concerned citizens' groups.

"…Many preservation groups, including the Friends of the National Parks in Gettysburg and the National Civil War Preservation Trust, have already drawn battle lines against the casino. The Gettysburg Ministerium, an informal group of area clergy, has also joined in opposition, as has the Pennsylvania Council of Churches…"
