Georgia man claims $270 million jackpot25 February 2008GEORGIA -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Portal, GA is a town of about 600 people but on Friday night one of their residents landed the massive $270 million jackpot in the multi-state MEGA Millions drawing. According to ajc.com the lucky winner is Robert Harris, a father of two who, up until Friday night, was living in a mobile home with his wife and kids and drove into Atlanta everyday to work on skyscrapers. Harris was quick to tell the Atlanta paper, "that's about to change. I used to live in a trailer. And I used to be an iron worker." Winning numbers for the MEGA Millions drawing on Friday were 7, 12, 13, 19 and 22. The Mega Ball number was 10. |
