Genting Highlands wins top award

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- As reported by the Edge Daily: "Genting Highlands Resort defeated many a familiar name in the casino business to win the prestigious International Travel Award — The 2007 World Travel Award for the World's Leading Casino Resort at the 14th Annual World Travel Awards Gala ceremony.

"...The award, touted as the Oscar of the travel and tourism industry, acknowledges industry excellence, Resorts World said in a statement.

"Genting Highlands Resorts emerged winner of the award after an industry poll of 167,000 travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organisations in over 160 countries.
