Gateway Casinos Income Fund takeover bid extended

SYDNEY, Australia -- As reported by AFX News: "Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd (PBL) and Macquarie Bank Ltd's leisure and gaming joint venture , New World Gaming Partners Ltd, said its has extended its 886 mln cad takeover bid for Gateway Casinos Income Fund to July 25.

"The Australian consortium's bid for one of the largest casino operators in western Canada is subject to a minimum acceptance from 66.66 pct of the fund's outstanding units, as well as regulatory approvals from various gaming boards within Canada's provinces..."
