Gaming increases in Christchurch27 April 2011CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand -- Gaming revenue is up in Christchurch post earthquake, the New Zealand Press Association reported. The increase comes despite a quarter of the gaming pubs being closed since the earthquake, the report said. Christchurch Casino has also been shut since the quake, however, there is some speculation that stress may be a factor in the increased numbers of people gambling, according to the New Zealand Press Association report. |
