Gaming expansion said to continue in Asia17 November 2008MACAO -- As reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal: "Massive layoffs of construction workers in China and the suspension of multibillion- dollar projects in Macau have not dimmed the potential for the expansion of gaming in other Asian markets, said Frank Fahrenkopf, CEO and president of the American Gaming Association. "Despite major financial troubles for Las Vegas Sands Corp. in Macau, the company will continue with another major Asian investment as more and more Asian governments look to casino gaming as a source of tax revenue, Fahrenkopf said.
