Gaming Donations Fill Australian Government Coffers2 February 2004AUSTRALIA – As reported by the (Australia) Age: "Former Crown Casino boss Lloyd Williams donated more than $50,000 (US$37,903) to the Victorian branch of the Labor Party last financial year. "Mr Williams, a close associate of former Liberal premier Jeff Kennett and former Liberal Party federal treasurer Ron Walker, was the Victorian ALP's largest individual donor. "…Mr Williams has in the past had a combative relationship with the Victorian ALP, who in opposition, made repeated allegations about the integrity of the tendering process for Melbourne's casino licence.
