Gaming commission gives Siena small lifeline

2 July 2010

RENO, Nevada -- Reno's Siena Casino has been given a pause in the suspension of its gaming licence, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.

The respite requires that the casino maintain $230,000 to pay out winners, the report said.

If the casino fails to maintain that amount it will face instant closure, The Reno Gazette-Journal report said.

The gaming commission insisted $150,000 in tax and fees owed be paid before July 22, 2010.

The property is currently negotiating for Cal Neva to take over casino operations, The Reno Gazette-Journal report stated.
