GameCo licenses first game for its video gambling machine product

23 May 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- GameCo, Inc. has licensed the first game for its video game gambling machine (VGM), a first-person action engine from game publisher, 505 Games. It offers gamblers a 45-second, skill-based experience on casino floors, delivering the same return to players as traditional slot machines.

505 Games is a multi-platform interactive video game company that publishes popular game titles across the globe for players of all ages to enjoy on leading console, PC, mobile and social platforms. GameCo is in the licensing process in the state of New Jersey to launch the VGM and is planning to debut on casino floors in Atlantic City this year. Future VGM games will be familiar titles from other top publishers including first person action, sports, racing, fighting games, platformers, puzzle games, and more.

"GameCo is at the forefront of revolutionizing casino floors with skill-based gaming and we are excited to be part of the movement," said Justin Berenbaum, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Relations for 505 Games. "Our mission to set precedents aligns with GameCo, and we are eager to synergize our talents in an effort to attract new audiences to casino gaming."

"We are very pleased to partner with 505 Games on the first ever video game gambling machines and skill-based games. Justin and 505 Games have proven to be innovators and leaders in the video game industry and their trust with GameCo in licensing their property is very meaningful. At GameCo, we're gamers and game producers who are committed to uniting the video game and casino worlds," said Blaine Graboyes, CEO of GameCo.

GameCo recognizes that attracting Gen X and Millennial gamers to the casino floor is one of the most critical issues facing casinos today. With its innovative technology platform, GameCo's mission is to bring the next generation of casino players to gaming designations worldwide. The company envisions that in the future, major gaming properties will have a "Video Game Casino," a dedicated section of the casino floor with hundreds of VGMs for gamers to gamble playing skill-based video games, while operators host esports events, tournaments, and game publisher promotions that will assist casinos in engaging a new audience of Gen X and Millennial gamers.
