Game Show Winner Plans Poker Gamble

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the Scotsman: "A man who scooped £125,000 (US$ 229,018) on the TV game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? plans to stake part of his winnings on a game of poker.

"David Meyer, 41, walked away with the massive cheque when he decided to go no further in the show, which was screened on Saturday. But the pharmacist today said that he plans to punt £10,000 on an entry fee to the world series poker game in Las Vegas.

"…He said: 'The world series is the most glamorous poker event and every player would love to have a go at it. Over the years, my poker has earned me money. It's a hobby that pays for itself.'…"
