Gambling Machine Makers Flock to Indian Convention

OKLAHOMA -- As reported by the Associated Press: "The prospect of expanded gambling in Oklahoma has attracted unprecedented interest in this year's Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association's annual convention and trade show.

"More than 2,000 people connected to the gambling industry and 257 vendors were attending the show.

"Voters approved a measure last month that allows some tribes to offer faster electronic machine games. The measure also allows three racetracks to offer a limited number of the same electronic games.

"…The new law allows tribes to offer a wider variety of gambling machines."
