Gambling Down in North Dakota

BISMARCK, North Dakota – As reported by the Associated Press: "Gambling in North Dakota dropped about $2 million last year compared to 2002, due largely to a decline in pull-tab sales, the director of the State Gaming Division said.

"Keith Lauer said North Dakotans spent $269.9 million on bingo, pull tabs, blackjack and other games of chance in 2003, compared to $272 million in 2002.

"Pull-tab sales in North Dakota last year were $149 million, down from $153.4 in 2002. Bingo players spent about $44.3 million in 2003, down slightly from past years, Lauer said…"
