Gambling Chief Pulls Out of Labour Funding

LONDON, UK -- As reported by This is London: "A multi-millionaire Labour donor has refused to give the party any more money because of the feud between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

"Entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne said he was also angered by the Government's response to the Asian tsunami disaster and ongoing problems in Iraq.

"He has previously given Labour £50,000, but said he was almost certain he would not give again.

"Mr Bannatyne is worth £130 million and made his money from care homes and health clubs.

"But his plans to build a new casino in Newcastle thrust him into the media spotlight last year. It emerged he had given the donation to Labour just as he decided to branch into casinos.

"But he has always insisted the donation had nothing to do with Labour's plans for super casinos..."
