Gambling addicts not inclined to volunteer for self-exclusion28 May 2007PENNSYLVANIA -- As reported by the Phillyburbs: "Compulsive and pathological gamblers have been slow to sign up for a new state program that aims to keep them out of Pennsylvania's new casinos. "Fifty-two people across the state signed up for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's self-exclusion program, officials said. The National Council on Problem Gambling estimates that at least 124,000 people, or 1 percent of the state's population, are "pathological gamblers."
