Gamblers bet impressively at Erie casino

PENNSYLVANIA -- According to Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board figures gamblers bet $49.8 million last week on slots at Presque Isle Downs Casino, Go Erie reported.

$45.1 million was won by gamblers, the state received 2.2 million and 1.8 million went to the casino, the report said.

The highest amount ever waged in a week was $57 million back in the week of July 5, 2010, Go Erie noted.
