Gambler sues Crown Casino24 September 2007AUSTRALIA -- As reported by the Australia Herald Sun: "Claims that Crown casino allowed a banned problem gambler to lose $30 million will be contested in the Supreme Court today. "Lawyers for Crown and multi-millionaire Gold Coast property developer Harry Kakavas will square off in a two-day procedural directions hearing. "The dispute centres on Mr Kakavas's allegations that casino chiefs lured him back to Crown, despite an earlier self-imposed life ban. "Mr Kakavas, 40, alleges he lost $30 million playing baccarat in a 14-month gambling spree starting in June 2005..." |
