Gambler spitting chips over heroin claim10 June 2009AUSTRALIA -- As reported by The Age: "The gambler suing Crown for his losses stormed out of court yesterday after a witness gave evidence that he discussed accessing heroin and providing counterfeit notes. "Harry Kakavas stood up immediately and left the Victorian Supreme Court, swearing under his breath that the evidence was "f---ing bullshit" when casino witness Bill Horman made the claim. "He (Kakavas) is suing Crown for about $35 million in losses and damages, claiming the casino knew of his pathological gambling addiction and lured him back after learning he was gambling millions in Las Vegas. "...Mr Horman recounted one conversation he had with Mr Kakavas in 1998, in which he says Mr Kakavas passed on information to him about several things, including 'a plot to have counterfeit chips made'..." |
