Gambler laundered sacks of drugs cash through casinos

2 March 2009

ENGLAND -- As reported by the Daily Mirror: "A professional gambler laundered millions of pounds of drugs money in casinos for ruthless crime bosses.

"Jatinder 'Micky Singh' Batth deposited the dirty cash - also raked in from counterfeiting and credit card fraud - with betting houses.

"He then withdrew 'clean' money and handed it to gang chiefs running the rackets - wiping out their links to the crimes.

"The 39-year-old hid behind his reputation as a renowned career gambler to pull off the scams while playing roulette.

"He was headhunted when gangsters heard he had amassed a £100million fortune from casinos and horse racing.

"...But Singh is now facing a lengthy spell behind bars after being convicted of moneylaundering..."
