Gambler Cuts Finger to Save Marriage

HONG KONG -- A chronic gambler from southern China saved his marriage by chopping off his finger with a kitchen knife, a news report said on Tuesday.

"The 40-year-old's wife decided to divorce him after he returned home after a weekend's gambling having lost all his money, the Hong Kong edition of the China Daily reported.
