Gambler Confesses Murder to Undercover Cop

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australia Age: "A gambler who confessed to an undercover policeman posing as a crime boss that he had killed his great-aunt was yesterday found guilty of murder.

"Matthew Joseph Marks, 28, showed no emotion as a Supreme Court jury delivered its verdict.

"…Prosecutor Michele Williams said in opening the trial that Marks was the subject of a clever and sophisticated police operation designed to see if he played a role in Ms O'Toole's death.

"She said Marks told the 'crime boss' that he planned Ms O'Toole's murder and that he hit her on the head and neck with a hammer…"
