Galaxy Waldo Casino Opens in Macao

MACAO – As reported by Xinhuanet: "The glamor of Macao's gaming market was centered on the Galaxy Waldo Hotel Sunday, which became the newest-opened casino in Macao.

"Owned by the Hong Kong-based Galaxy Resort and Casino, the Galaxy Waldo Hotel is situated not far from the Las Vegas Sands, which was opened in May as the first foreign-invested casino in Macao.

"…'The Waldo Hotel is just the first stage for us as we are still trying out different business models,' said Francis Lui, Galaxy director at the launching ceremony.

"…The 16-story hotel casino, refurbished from a former commercial property in a five-month preparation, offers a total of 38 gaming tables and 150 slot machines as well as a large entertainment area and hotel suites…"
