Gala Considers Stock Market Flotation8 April 2005UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the icHuddersfield: "BINGO hall operator Gala is checking its numbers for a possible stock market flotation, it was said today. "The business, which is owned by private equity firms Cinven and Candover, is understood to be holding talks with banking advisers. "City analysts estimate that Gala could be valued at up to £1.8bn if it chooses to go ahead with a listing - possibly at the end of this year. "They said Gala could be encouraged to pursue a stock market listing following the removal of uncertainty over the passing of new gaming legislation earlier this week. "…Gala also operates 29 sites in the UK, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar. Sales for those operations rose by 5.7% to £16.5m and by 3% on a like-for-like basis…" |
