Fun with Whipped Cream at The Venetion

According to an Associated Press story, employees said they witnessed women at the party strip and spread whipped cream and chocolate sauce on their bodies while dancing in the glass-enclosed room where Leach hosted the party. One employee complained to representatives of the culinary union.

Leach, hired as a consultant to attract top-notch restaurants to the newly opened Vegas Strip resort, maintains that the incident was merely a harmless whipped cream fight that lasted no more than two minutes.

"It was a private party held in a private room and no restaurant patrons were offended, shocked or walked out," Leach said. "No warnings were given to the group by the restaurant staff because it was not necessary. No sexual acts in any manner or form took place."

Meanwhile, the union has reported the incident to business license investigators. If the union's allegations are proved, the incident would have violated a section of the Clark County business code that forbids sexual activity and nudity in a restaurant with a liquor license.

Leach said the accusations were a result of union officials trying to discredit The Venetion.

Not so, says union organizer Tom Snyder. "Mr. Leach is undoubtedly squirming to find a way to take the focus off of himself and The Venetian," he said.
