French Wagering Company Taking Internet Wagers

FRANCE – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "PMU.fr, a French Web site dedicated to French racing, has begun accepting wagers via the Internet and could generate an annual handle of $51.2-million.

"Previously, French gamblers could only wager away from the track by telephone, minitel, or interactive television.

"…The Internet wagering is a part of PMU's continual development of its Web site, which it launched in 1999…"
