French Lick will still aid charities7 December 2007NDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- As reported by the Louisville Courier-Journal: "French Lick Resorts & Casino officials said yesterday that charitable organizations will eventually benefit from the Orange County development's profits, despite a revised ownership structure. "The changes -- approved during a brief meeting of the Indiana Gaming Commission yesterday -- mean that Bloomington's Cook Group will own 99 percent of the development, which includes two historic hotels and a newly constructed casino. "A Cook-affiliated company will own the remaining 1 percent. "...The charities are expected to include the Historic Landmarks Foundation, the Indiana University Foundation and the Orange County Community Foundation. "Billionaire entrepreneur Bill Cook and his family had already controlled the hotels and casinos under a complicated ownership structure..." |
