French Lick Resort & Casino Construction at Full Speed

1 June 2006

FRENCH LICK, Indiana – (PRESS RELEASE) – The $382 million development and restoration project at the French Lick Resort & Casino continues at an accelerated pace, said construction officials with Blue Sky, the resort's ownership group. The current project work force is estimated at nearly 800 individuals. There are a large number of Orange County residents working onsite.

The casino's exterior, interior stud walls, drywall and concrete floors are 70 percent complete. Electrical and mechanical rough-ins are 85 percent complete.

The hotel restoration is progressing. Construction of the model rooms is now complete – the rooms still lack furniture and other appointments but showcase the new interior design concepts for the hotel. Work on upper level guest rooms is well underway, as crews install drywall and continue electrical and mechanical work. Construction of a new pool area with a "high rollers suite," bar and grill, and locker rooms is also underway.

Steel erection for the event center is now complete and the exterior walls are going up. The interior stud walls are being constructed, electrical, mechanical and fire protection rough-ins are well underway.

Crews also continue with final concrete work on the parking garage. Electrical and mechanical rough-ins are in progress there, as well.

The entire resort is scheduled for a November 2006 opening.
