French Lick casino partners continue battle

INDIANA – As reported by the Indianapolis Star: "The owners of the French Lick Resort Casino are at each other again.

"Indianapolis-based Lauth Property Group claims its partner Orange County Holdings -- a company partly financed and affiliated with Bloomington-based Cook Group -- is in contempt of court for refusing to go back to a three-man panel to arbitrate mutual disputes.

"Lauth filed that claim before Orange County Judge Larry Blanton on Friday afternoon.

"…Attorneys for Cook say they are not refusing to arbitrate. But they want to go before a single arbitrator instead of the panel.

"The original operating agreement between the companies called for just one arbitrator. But Lauth claims that agreement was amended when both parties agreed to the three-man panel…"
