Fraser Downs Sale Delayed4 February 2005SURREY, British Columbia – As reported by the Surrey Leader: "The closure of the sale of Fraser Downs and Sandown Park to Great Canadian Casino Corp. has been delayed. "The $40-million sale was to close on Jan. 31, but was subject to approval from several regulatory authorities. Approval from the B.C. Lottery Corporation has not been received, but is expected by mid-February. "'The BCLC said it has no problem with the sale but had to delay,' said a Fraser Downs press release. 'BCLC has been busy with the opening of the Edgewater Casino at the Plaza of Nations in Vancouver and will require more time to complete their review of the sale.'…" |
