Foxwoods to honor veterans with a special lineup of festivities

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino, the largest resort casino in North America, and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation (MPTN) invite everyone to join us on November 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. for the Sixth Annual Veterans Day Parade. The parade, which will recognize current members of our military and veterans, will begin at the Grand Pequot Gaming Floor, continue down the concourse to Cedar’s Square and finish on the retail concourse.

The parade will feature local veterans, local veteran organizations, the MPTN police department, The New London High School band, Tribal Elders and Royalty, and Tribal Youth Dancers. Flag pins will be distributed to guests attending the parade.

Following the conclusion of the parade, the National Anthem will be performed, followed by Mashantucket’s own Wayne Reels and Albert Zamora singing the MPTN flag song. Vanassa Sebastian will host the parade festivities which will also include remarks from Foxwoods’ President & CEO, Felix Rappaport.

The Veterans Day celebration doesn’t stop there. On Thursday November 12th former Patriots players Joe Andruzzi and Steve Nelson take part in the rivalry weekend by bowling with players, veterans and former Giants teammates in an event where sports heroes meet real heroes. On Friday November 13th, join Foxwoods, WFAN Sports Radio and Boston’s 98.5 The Sports Hub as they broadcast live from the Great Cedar Retail Concourse.
