Foxwoods, Sugarhouse chosen for Philadelphia licenses

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Philadelphia Business Journal: "Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia and Sugarhouse Casino were selected by the state regulators to receive slots gaming licenses in Philadelphia.

"…Foxwoods plans a $560 million project on a 16-acre parcel on South Columbus Boulevard near Reed Street. Plans call for 3,000 slots, at least to start.

"Sugarhouse plans a $550 million slots casino on the site of the former Jack Frost sugar refinery, on Delaware Avenue north of the Ben Franklin Bridge…"
