Foxwoods Slot Take Surpasses Mohegan Sun's16 September 2004MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut – As reported by the Connecticut Newsday: "Foxwoods Resort Casino's slot machine revenues surpassed Mohegan Sun's in August for the first time in many months, according to figures released Wednesday by the two southeastern Connecticut casinos. "Foxwoods had slot revenues of $74.6 million in August, following the renovation and reopening of parts of the Rainmaker Casino. Foxwoods, which is operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, had an average of 7,273 slot machines in operation during the month and gave the state $18.6 million of its slot revenue. "Mohegan Sun, operated by the Mohegan Tribe, had an August slot take of $72.4 million and contributed $18.1 million to the state. The casino had an average of 6,250 slot machines in operation during the month…" |
