Foxwoods slot revenue drops in December15 January 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $37 million for the month of December 2018. This figure is down 5.2% compared to $39 million in December of 2017. Handle for the month was $473.1 million, down 1.5% from the $480.4 million wagered in the same month in 2017. Since 1993, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has infused over $4 billion of Foxwoods’ slot revenue into the Connecticut state economy through the Mashantucket Pequot Fund, supporting much-needed programs and services throughout Connecticut. Foxwoods’ contribution to the state in December 2018 is $9.6 million. There’s always something new at Foxwoods, and December was no exception as the property shared two exciting gaming opportunities for guests. Foxwoods announced its brand-new Play It First New Game Zone, which allows guests to experience brand new innovative table games like Dragon Poker and 3 Card Blitz. British rock legend Rick Springfield delivered a memorable performance on New Year’s Eve to usher in 2019 in style. This January, Foxwoods is excited to host the 5th Annual Baseball Winter Weekend event featuring Boston Red Sox icons past and present.
