15 May 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $40.7 million for the month of April 2016. This figure is up 5% compared to $38.7 million in April of 2015. Handle for the month was $496.3 million, up 2.1% from the $486.1 million wagered in the same month in 2015.

Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in April 2016 is $10.4 million, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to over $3.8 billion.

April was a big month at Foxwoods, highlighted by the launch of FoxwoodsONLINE, the property’s unparalleled social casino platform. Players can now experience the thrill of their favorite casino games from the comfort of their homes at www.online.foxwoods.com.

The action-packed entertainment slate at Foxwoods this month was anchored by four stellar rock concerts from The Cult, The Doobie Brothers, Walk off the Earth and Kansas. Laughter was in abundance on property as well, with stand-up from Vic DiBitetto and Kevin James as well as the dream team of Nick Cannon and Howie Mandel. The world-class entertainment continued with spectacular hip-hop shows from lyrical wizard Lupe Fiasco and I Love the 90’s featuring legends Salt-N-Pepa, Vanilla Ice, Tone Loc, Coolio, All-4-One and Biz Markie.

The good times rolled on with Kids Week featuring an array of family-friendly activities including arts and crafts, face painting, movies, games, air brush tattoos and an unforgettable appearance from Clifford the Big Red Dog, who delighted families at the Fox Theater with a one-of-a-kind interactive musical.

Foxwoods continues to bring the heat this May with its first-ever Foxwoods Reality TV Month featuring VIP appearances, meet-and-greets, photo opportunities and giveaways from some of television’s hottest stars including cast members from Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” and “The Real Housewives,” ABC’s “The Bachelor/The Bachelorette,” and E!’s “Christina Milian Turned Up.”

Featuring a jam-packed slate of top-tier acts, the month’s sizzling entertainment lineup has already seen star comedians Brian Regan, Wayne Brady, Norm MacDonald, Chris D’Elia and Trevor Noah on property as well as R&B sensation Charlie Wilson. GRAMMY-nominated rock band 3 Doors Down is also set to take the stage when they play the Grand Theater later this month.

May closes out with a bang at Foxwoods with an exclusive pair of performances from international comedy icon Louis C.K., marking the only New England stop on his limited national tour.

Summer means the return of Liquid Sundays at the Fox Tower Pool, with guest host Christina Milian kicking off the year’s first bash on Memorial Day weekend. The Northeast’s only outdoor Vegas-style pool party, Liquid Sundays boast celebrity guests, the hottest DJs in the region and unrivaled theme parties complete with a full service bar, two 55 inch TVs, ping pong, corn hole and more.
