Foxwoods Resort Casino executive receives Patricia Becker Pay It Forward Award

31 October 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Northeast's premier resort destination, is proud to announce that Suzanne Trout, the property’s Chief Marketing Officer, has been awarded the Patricia Becker Pay It Forward Award on behalf of Global Gaming Women.

The award honors women who have demonstrated their commitment to the development and advancement of other women, their communities and the GGW organization through ongoing efforts. Trout was one of seven recipients recognized in 2019 for their work with GGW. Each recipient has dedicated substantial time and effort to giving back through fundraising, hosting leadership classes, developing training programs, leading conferences and more.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized alongside this group of exceptional women from the gaming industry,” said Trout. “The work we do with GGW is vital for ensuring women are both encouraged to pursue leadership roles and supported throughout their journeys, guaranteeing every woman has the confidence and skills she needs to achieve her professional goals.”

Trout joined the Foxwoods team as Chief Marketing Officer in July 2017, where she oversees all avenues of the property’s marketing efforts including player development, loyalty marketing, social & digital marketing, entertainment, advertising and communications. Prior to Foxwoods, Trout acquired over 30 years of results-driven marketing experience in the gaming industry at organizations like Eldorado Resorts, Rush Street Gaming and Caesars Entertainment.

As co-chair of the Great Women of Gaming Committee, Trout reinstituted the committee’s award in 2018 by creating the categories, obtaining an independent international selection committee and more. Balancing her efforts for the committee with her job as CMO of Foxwoods was no easy feat given the enormous time commitments of both.
