Foxwoods reports uptick in slot revenue16 December 2013MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- November slot revenue at Foxwoods Resort Casino was up 2.1 percent from a year ago, improving to $43.9 million from the $43.0 million reported last year. Handle for the month was $510.0 million, off 2.1 percent from the $521.0 million wagered in November 2012. Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund this month was $11.0 million, bringing the cumulative contribution to the State since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to more than $3.56 billion. With jingle bells ringing all across the resort, there is still time to get tickets for The Mystic Ballet’s performances of the Nutcracker Spectacular at Fox Theater on December 21 and 22. And there is simply nothing like the Foxwoods Rink & Winter Patio, a winter wonderland that is magic for “kids” of all ages. Open seven days a week, this family friendly attraction features an ice skating rink surrounded by trees with over 100,000 twinkling lights. There are also huge fire pits for roasting smores and a 30-foot Christmas tree with dazzling larger-than-life ornaments. Saturdays and Sundays before Christmas, the Rink features a chance to “Skate with Santa.” Holiday week festivities will feature wildly popular artist Pitbull on December 27; and on December 27-28 in the Fox Theater, Broadway Rox offers its rousing theatrical presentation of greatest hits from some of Broadway’s most memorable shows.
